Lucinda Williams - Copenhagen
“I will never be able to comprehend the expansiveness of what I’ve just learned.”
Lucinda Williams is one gentle poet with soul. She made her start busking on the streets and life was hell back then. However she is the epitome of kindness which makes her our artist recommendation for you guys! She’s 58 and that’s how far her compassion and honesty has to be heard.
Her recent incredible album titled “Blessed” really stands out amongst her previous albums she has made. Gorgeous songs like “Sweet Love” and “Kiss Like Your Kiss” just make us happy and faithful with what we are doing. The deaths of many beloveds and endless heartbreaks, she began to go wide and circles deep into the meaning behind each and every song of hers. Such is the heart of a poet’s soul.
Every single song on “Blessed” is a treasure, especially this beautiful track “Copenhagen”. Eerily sweet and stark, the song is seemingly meant for her beloved friend who had passed away. A sweet lullaby for those lonely hearts out there :)
Thanks to a country singer/songwriter like Lucinda Williams, we get a beautiful reminder of it every time we gently let the needle go and let her music play to bless us all with love.
