Although her work is more of a paper art and seemingly one-dimensional compared to traditional “sculpture” standards, I’m a sucker for a beautiful and well-crafted diorama. Although I feel that her pieces aren’t very conceptually strong (in the vein of social issues, etc) they have a wonderfully appealing whimsical air about them. Her art style is very unique, stylized, and uniform which give all of her separate pieces a feeling of unity. The bright colors she uses contrasts beautifully with the neutral tones she also incorporates and the pieces are very eye-catching. I think she would be very successful in doing something either with pop-up books or window decorating.
