Ladies and Gentleman - A Rubber Gorilla
This amazing work of art by sculptor Villu Jaanisoo, entitled “Kaikki on mahdollista” (Everything is Possible, 2009) is a gigantic gorilla made of second-hand car tires. The sculpture won an invitational art competition arranged by the State Art Collection, which operates in conjunction with the Arts Council of Finland. It is located on Viikinkaari and the University of Helsinki’s science library can be seen in the background.
